about

White Bird was inspired by the story of the biplane L'Oiseau Blanc, that took off from Paris in 1927 and vanished on its way to New York. The pilots, Charles Nungesser and Francois Coli, were never seen again. Their PL.8-01 sea plane, made of wood and cloth, is thought to have broken upon landing. Nobody knows what really happened.
I think L'Oiseau Blanc is still floating somewhere in the endless sky, with its ghosts, doing aerobatics. Maybe their plan was to have no plan, but to gracefully get away from darkness, time, madness, crowds.
